Above is a Google Image photo of the back of the home that the Clarence Westlake family lived in while they were in Pontiac, located at 368 Osmun Street.  The family lived here from at least 1920 until 1923.  The 1920 census lists Clarence as a carpenter employer contractor.  It also shows that Clarence owned his home free and clear.  In 1923 the Pontiac City Directory lists Clarence's occupation as a janitor.

Grace and Clarence Westlake - about 1938.  Clarence loved the game of croquet.  He is holding a croquet mallet in this photo.  You can see the wire wickets and the balls on the ground around them.  Croquet was a favorite English pastime, so perhaps the love of the game was passed down through the generations from the Westlake's of Somerset, England.
